Little ole' me.

Starting out as a theatre actress, I never really pursued much film and television work in the beginning of my career.  I spent years honing my craft and it took me a while to admit that acting in film can be as satisfying and as artistically fulfilling in storytelling as performing on stage in front of a live audience.  I guess I was a theater snob in that way.  I have since learned the error of my ways.

Film, commercial, hosting and stage acting all start from the same place.  The self.  Casting directors want to see us.  Who we are and how we can bring these characters to life.  With one click.  On line.

With all that being said, I don't have a reel yet.  This is a common challenge among theater actors.  I have a handful of jobs on tape and projects that I will probably never get a copy of (also a challenge for actors), so I am making up for lost time as far as having anything view.

So, this is me.  My self.

Now let's get together and make some on screen magic!

"Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it." -Russell Baker

June was very busy for me. Juggling my temp job with daytime auditions/call-backs,
rehearsals, workshops and taping has made the month fly by.  Not to mention it was
my birthday and the official beginning of Summer!

NCT Update:
I am scheduled to have my debut performance in July with the National Comedy Theater. Come see me improvise on stage July 8th 7:30 & 9:45 and July 15th 7:30 &
9:45. I love my new NCT family!

Booked:
I will be performing a lead role the short play CREEPING HARD by Suzanne Dottino
as a part of Turtle Shell Production’s 2011 short play festival: Summer Shorties... Summ…Er Not.
As I had to get through three round of auditions to land this role, the talent in all of the plays is sure to be amazing.
For those who are used to seeing me play mostly comedic roles, this will be a nice change.  It’s nice to stretch those more dramatic muscles again since it has been a little while.
Don't forget, one can always find humor in the most dramatic of situations.

Summer Shorties opens July 29th.  More details in the coming weeks.

Called Back:
I was recently called back for the NY premier of the play MARRY, F***, or KILL written by Joanne Mosconi. It received great reviews for the Los Angeles premier in 2009 and is scheduled to open Off Broadway this Fall presented by The Mirror Theater.  I won’t be performing in the play, but I encourage you to see it as it is sure to be a wonderful production.

More callbacks in the coming week.

July and August are shaping up to be even busier than June.  Bring it on, Summer!

More soon...
