From behind the curtain, Traci spent 2 years working side by side with Rebecca Trent, owner of The Creek & The Cave, and acted as the Artistic Director and co-founder of the multi-media New York theater company; Ratutu Collaborative. Ratutu was of a group of artists committed to developing and producing new, unpretentious and relevant theatre while combining live performance with multimedia. "We hope to inspire and initiate dialogue about the world around us and like all good artists, ask more questions than we answer." While with Ratutu she co-produced and performed in the New York premier of Keepingabreast  written by Jackie Rosenfeld and starring Amy Schumer.

Prior to moving to New York in 2004, Traci spent 4 years in the Atlanta theatre and arts community where she co-founded and worked as the Managing Director of the Red Chair Theater. She was also an artistic associate of the Ballroom Studios, an alternative artspace for visual art, performance, film, dance and music. Most notably Traci spent 9 months portraying 6 different characters in front of sold out audiences in Ansley Park Playhouse’s comedy, The Limousine Ride. Traci was also an improviser and co-founder of the long form improv group Comedy Response Unit and Atlanta's first all female improv/sketch group the Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy.
